POLYSICS...how frigging cool were they man!!!?!!??!?!?!!??!
Basically, they are a REALLY cool Japanese band, I went with Rory and he saw them play in London but seeing them in Japan was twice as cool. I love their new red jumpsuit and I MUST admit, the lead singer is bloody gorgoeous! He took his shades off, I was in AWE being squished and stamped on by wimpy Japanese people. SO....my experience in a Japanese gig in Japan. I'll admit, it was much easier to "mosh". It's so easy to push people about but they got really excited when Polysics came on and rushed forward and weren't too tall, so got a good view despite not being able to push my way to the front. I had a backpack, thinking that was a smart idea but it opened as soon as the gig got started so I had to retrieve all my goods, trying not to get my fingers chopped off. But, I couldn't find my mobile so I got pissed off and stamped, punched, kicked and pressed pressure points into as many Japanese people as possible....hey they were doing it on me too ok, besides, I wanted to be violent! By the way, Michael and his rapist looking friend joined us too (that comment about his friend came out from Michael's mouth not mine, I'm using it as to quote him).
It was strange how when they finished singing, the crowd went completely silent, other than a few people calling band names out and small talk. I was the only girl like a normal English lass screamining "WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" and than others started to copy me lol. So whenever people heard wooohooo's, just know that I started it ALWAYS! Oh and of course like all other standing gigs, I had sweat and other horrible stuff from other people. I was sweating like mad, bouncing and going mad to Polysics' crazy ass music, but I didn't always have my sweat on my own body...ughhh!
This all happened in Nagoya, so "YAY" I get to visit another city. I didn't see much mind you other than the train station but met up with the Nagoya crew, Michael (who was swell enough to let us Ninja-style-it into his room and let us sleep on his floor for the night), Lenka (who has already stayed over mine for a weekend), and good old Bobby! The train to Nagoya was fun, Rory and I didn't shut up throughout our whole 2.5hours journey by bus, and it was so strange how ghostly the city looked like because there was fog all around the mountain and even on the buildings, something you may visualise in comic books. Back to the crew...Oh man, we had the best curry EVER...I was craving curry for ages and finally got it now before an awesome gig, I was well well happy oh man it was BLOODY OISHIIIIIIIII completely, oh gosh thinking about it I REALLY WANT IT NOW!
Oh I just remembered, I wasn't allowed to take any pictures in the gig so whatever pix I have are posted up here and I'm sorry it's hardly anything, but some dude that works there who I initially thought was a woman (uh-hum like most Japanese guys around here) had an eagle eye on me and twice tried yonking my camera from me, but luckily I pulled harder...ASSHOLE!
